Steven Dietvorst: (tenor) saxophonist, arranger and composer
I started playing the alto saxophone at the age of 12 and have been active as a professional musician since I was 20. I graduated in 1999 from the Rotterdam Conservatory, now Codarts, where I was taught by Jasper Blom, Tom de Vette and Ben van den Dungen, among others.
In 1998 I did study for one semester at the Berklee College of Music in Boston where I studied flute, clarinet, arranging and composition. I have played in several bands, including the cover formation “Flat Out”, “Planet Groove Session Band”, “Manhattan Big Band”, “Dizzy Jazz Orchestra”, “the Young Sinatras” and am currently still active as a freelancer in various formations.
I am currently employed as a tenor saxophonist with the Orchestra of the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
I also produced an album of my own work with my jazz fusion group “The SlickPit”. As an arranger and composer I have written for various groups, including the Orchestra of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, Tilburg Project Orchestra and many other line-ups from small to large.

Haar huidige carrière is gericht op jazz en ze treedt regelmatig met diverse groepen op (ZZAZZ, Beatsclassics en DeJaVu JazzLoungeGroup)
Is tegenwoordig als stemdocente verbonden aan het Artez Conservatorium (in 2008 suma cum laude geslaagd aan het Amsterdams Conservatorium)
en daarnaast vocalist, DJ, presentator, voice over, en (stem-)actrice
